Reza Asadifard, the director of LABSNET's news station, has announced that a winter grant of 30 million rials has been approved by the vice presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy. The grant will provide 50 percent coverage for 4000 faculty members and 6000 post-graduate students.
He added: The major part of the budget of the network credits in the approved program of this year was dedicated to the special programs of technology headquarters and other thematic programs of the vice presidency. Recently, a special supportive credit for new knowledge-based companies, with 70 percent coverage, amounting to up to 20 million rials was approved which can be received from the members of the laboratory network with the “Active Membership” or higher.
It is noteworthy that the Advanced X-ray Imaging Systems Laboratory (AXIS), a prominent provider of micro-CT imaging and advanced image analysis services, is also a member of the laboratory network. Researchers are eligible to utilize the grants to defray a portion of their expenses at AXIS.
